This restaurant is phenomenal! Many call it "modern Chinese food" because the veggies are organic farm to table, the meats and fish sustainably raised and the recipes reflect a modern palate. Kale dumplings, brussels sprout pot stickers, brown organic rice. It's tasty and the prices reflect its upscale uniqueness.

We were an Asian family coming from Muir woods looking for some Asian food. In our tour of America we have had pretty good friendly service from mostly Hispanics. Eating in Asian/ Chinese restaurants are generally easy because SF has such a big Cantonese population. We travel to HK regularly and we have neverhad such rude and unfriendly service. Nobody was around... So i figured they didn't want our business.. It's the only Chinese resto in the area. But when the local police came, the servers were so friendly.. I guess if my kids were not so hungry id have probably never come here.

Lunch midweek. Ordered broccoli beef. Smothered in an unidentifiable brown sauce were pieces of gray-brown thinly sliced, lumpy things. First bite: pure slimy fat. I started separating fat from beef and began to realize IT WAS ALL FAT! Don't get me wrong- fat can be underrated....yummy flavors can be found (bacon-yum!) But not in this classic Chinese dish. Called waitress over, told her it was all fat. She actually argued with me! (Hello? It's called direct evidence?) Carrots were those serrated frozen orange things. Broccoli was fresh.I asked for the chicken instead. She clicked her tongue but complied. Bought out these soggy, tasteless putty-like white things. Swanson's frozen is better. Cold rice. Hey this is world famous Mill Valley where organics and local-grown reign king! This place is an embarrassment.
