Discover Restaurants offering the best Chinese food in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, United States. Yes, getting there is a bit of a project. But vacationers have been braving the ferry for years, and this tiny island off Cape Cod remains one of the most popular and picturesque destinations in New England. Among the island's towns, you're sure to find the Vineyard that's right for you. With stately Greek revival houses dating back to the whaling era of the early 19th century, Edgartown is a seaside village of boutique shopping and pristine harbor views. For more of a "beach town" feel, Oak Bluffs has the Flying Horses carousel, an arcade and an easy walk to the beach, plus the history and charm of the "gingerbread" houses in the Methodist campgrounds. Vineyard Haven offers visitors a blend of both. For a real retreat, Chilmark/Aquinnah is the place to get away from it all. In the off-season, the island is quieter and far less crowded, but the shore is always beautiful. Whenever you visit, leave your car behind! Cabs are plentiful and greet the incoming ferries to help you reach your destination. Most visitors prefer to explore the island on a bicycle, scooter or tourist-friendly public buses.

Island inspired Asian cuisine featuring some of the Island's freshest sushi along with a clean, island take on traditional Chinese dishes.
The food, prices, and ambiance were excellent. The portions were BIG- we could have easily split an entree. The only complaint is how long it took to get our entrees- at least 30 minutes. Nearby tables received their food before us, even though they had gotten there later. Despite the wait, we had a good experience and would eat here again.

After a 6hr drive there was indeed slim pickings in off season Vineyard Haven. However, fear not, Mikado were able to welcome us in with a very authentic hot and sour soup and their own steamed pork dumplings. This was followed by general soh's shrimp and yaki soba. Just a tad too many onions in the latter for my husband's taste but overall nice and delicately flavoured.I would highly recommend this restaurant, the wait staff were extremely attentive, plenty of locals in attendance and one recommending us to go in as we previewed the menu.
