Named for the freed slaves that helped build the port town, Libreville has grown into an elegant and wealthy capital city since Gabon gained independence in 1960. The seafront boulevard is lined with expensive hotels and stores, while the Louis quarter is known for its stylish clubs, restaurants and bars. Not much surprise here, this is standard international Cantonese food without much creativity. Prices are ok and drinks are reasonable.

The duck plate was amazing. The duck was cooked in the traditional Chinese way and served with rice. I also had crispy duck and it was exceptional. It is one of my top 3 places in the world to get really good duck. The atmosphere was casual with an open inviting dining area, Service was great and went above and beyond to make sure the food was excellent. The highlight was the free shot of rice wine Mijiu. The shot comes in a small ceramic shot glass that has a picture of a naked woman on the bottom that appears after the drink is consumed. Cool ending to a great meal.
Where to eat Pizza food in Libreville: The Best Restaurants and Bars
As I entered the establishment the wholesome aroma's of North and South China awoke my senses. We sat down for the Friday evening buffet and quickly moved through the three course meal. The Boazhi and Zoazhi was great. I especially loved the sticky pork and the rice cakes for dessert.
