Reviews on Chinese food in Karlsruhe, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. In 1715, margrave Karl III Wilhelm decided he needed more space than he had in Durlach, so he moved his capital to Karlsruhe and had it designed in circular spokes around his new palace. Because of its unique radial shape, Karlsruhe is sometimes called the “fan city.” Home to Germany’s most important federal courts, the city accordingly teems with civil servants. Karlsruhe Schloss (castle) was badly damaged in World War II, but was rebuilt and is now home to the Badisches Landesmuseum.

Freshly comming back from China, I was missing chinese foods a lot and did not expected much about the Chinese estaurant in Europe. But this one is amazing, food is great, even if some dishes have been adapted to German taste, like the cruspy duck, most of the menu remain authentic. I even could order in Chinese my favourite dishes.

We prefer to go to the Yangda in the city - in our opinion it tastes a little better - but here the food is also good - and they even have a patio where you can sit outside and enjoy the look to the Oberwald. And here you normally have no problem in getting a table - whereas in the city it sometimes is a little problem.

We went there for a lunch, sat at the moving belt, had a lot of fun choosing our next portion. The buffet meal includes soup, not the drinks. The selection was good, everything fresh and tasty. Not all the kinds of sushi from their listing were present, so I guess you have to come for dinner buffet to enjoy the full selection. All in all - good lunch.
