On a road trip, heading back to San Antonio, stopped by Yen Jing Chinese restaurant for lunch. Kids love orange chicken, so we checked the online menu, which was easy to navigate. We arrived at the restaurant at around 1:30pm. Wasn't super busy, plenty of tables, large and small. Nice interior. It has that "Chinese restaurant" vibe, dimmed yellowish lights, soft lighting, bright enough to read the menu with ease, but not bright enough to hurt your eyes.Order was szechuan chicken (a little spicey, came with noodles), sweet and sour chicken (not spicey, came with fried rice), and orange chicken (originally a little spicey, we requested not spicey, and the chefs obliged, came with fried rice). All meals came with soup, we had the eggdrop soup, and an egg roll. The food was good. The eggdrop soup was smooth and had a good chicken flavor. The eggrolls we're decent, crunchy, and fresh; I would say it could use a little less veggie, maybe be a little smaller (they were quite large). Szechuan chicken had enough kick to keep you awake, but not so much to remotely distract you from flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was a standard sweet and sour sauce on the same fried chicken used for the orange chicken, which had a nice orange sauce. None of the food seemed over-salted or too savory and the veggies were fresh and crunchy, not like they had been sitting for a long time waiting as you would get at a buffet. The less star is for the bathrooms. Men's bathroom was alright, but seemed a bit under-maintained, and thr water pressure in one sink was almost gone. The women's bathroom was dingy (fingerprints and skin oils on the wall). They might need a touch-up bleach, deep cleaning, and repainting/hardware update/upgrade.Altogether, it wasn't a terrible experience, and I would go back for some good Chinese food.

The food here was fantastic. Lots of shrimp too. Lots of good choices. The BBQ ribs were tender which is unusual for Chinese ribs that I've had elsewhere. Loved seafood choices. Looking forward to going back!
Where to eat Southwestern food in Greenville: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I have always enjoyed Panda Express. Problem is it is expensive. This location is great. Easy off and easy on I-30 headed East in Greenville, Texas.Usually I get two items and a side which "starts at" $7.10 , but ends up a lot more because they add a charge depending on what food you choose. It is plenty of food for two. Add a small drink for another $1.70.I tried one of their "bowls" which "starts at" $6.00 but mine cost $7.85 for beef and noodles. The best way to go for great fresh food at a cheaper price is to go to Yen Jing on Wesley Street for better food, much more food, for a cheaper price. If you are in a big hurry, Panda Express is good food, you get it quick, and pay more. The water cups are also tiny.
