Stop for early lunch break and found this shop with plenty of choices, from fish, squid ring, mussel, scallop, white bait, chicken nugget and patttie, sausages, wonton, onion and pineapple rings, to spring rolls, you name it. So, we took white bait fritter with fish and chips. Quick service and it was really yummy break for us.The shop has a new name now Balchlutha Takeaways.

Frendly staff. Good selection of food at reasonable prices. Chinese Food was lovely, as were their burgers and Fish'n'chips

We came to Balclutha while staying at Kaka Point 12 miles away (few options for food there)...no real decent restaurants in Balclutha, so decided to play it safe with Gin's...the food is fine, albeit boring...but the service was quick...the restaurant are itself definitely needs some touch up work...but it seems as most customers were takeaways...and it is probably better for that
