We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Weinstube Grimm. Not dealing German when the menu wasn't in English wasn't a problem as the waiter was very helpfulBoth our dishes were tasty and well presented. Veal and beef rouladen. Would recommend.

A large roomy Gastwirtschaft on the outskirts of the town, extensive regional menu with all the typical dishes, and great local and other beers, wines and schnapps. There is an exquisitely painted function / wedding room and the "to be expected" Kachelofen wood stove for when it gets chilly.... Popular with families and businessmen alike, friendly and welcoming, professional and very very clean.

Zur Hochbrucke is a German-Italian restaurant. It was across the street from our hotel and just looks like an average restaurant. After we sat down it quickly filled up with locals. Our Italian waiter was very cheerful and friendly. Good Italian bread on the table, we had one of the specials, a type of stuffed pepper which was delicious. My husband had beer, but I asked for a glass of the house red and to my delight received a glass of a very good Bardolino. A lovely dinner and only 29 E with drinks for two.
