As we were deciding what weâre gonna have for dinner we all decided to go to Tropical Flavor. The food was excellent as usual. My wife had the Tropical garlic shrimp with the stirfry vegetables and white rice. My daughter and I have the Jerk chicken with the stirfry vegetables beans and rice. We also had a side order of the five cheese macaroni and cheese it was very good.

I decided to give this spot a try, since it's within walking distance from my work. I have to say, that I'm pretty pleased! Coming from South Florida, there's legit Cuban food everywhere. Moving to Macon, this is the first place I've seen that has Cuban food. Honestly, definitely not the best Cuban food I've tasted. I gave a pretty good review, because of the overall dining experience. The mother and son combo that was working that day was awesome. The son was attentive and friendly! He did an awesome job with service. The food was tasty and flavorful.

Obviously you have to spend some time in Jamaica to appreciate the authenticity of "Jamaican" food sold in the US. I can say that Patrick, the Jamaican-raised proprietor/chef/server, prepares and serves the real deal. Mastering jerk chicken, curried goat, oxtail, and ackee & saltfish, Patrick tops off everything with a welcoming smile and true Jamaican hospitality. Lucky enough to dine here often as it's in my home town. Yes, it's in a small strip mall and it's small inside. But the flavors are huge and will keep you coming back. You might as well be in a small roadside restaurant in the Snow Hill area near Port Antonio!
