"Caribbean-influenced fare with a seafood emphasis served in colorful digs with a two story deck." Jack Mackerels offers casual dining in a festive atmosphere! From USDA Choice grade steaks to locally sourced seafood we serve only the freshest creations.
Seems I picked a bad night to crave seafood. I suppose the scallops swimming in their own grease cut down on the need for tarter, cocktail or other taste enhancing sauces. Great waitress, she didn't even flinch when I asked for extra napkins to soak up the overly generous portions of their special sauce. Nice people!Sorry to hear that we didn't get it right for you Harry, we hate to hear that. Do you remember your servers name so I can ask them why they didn't get a manager to get you and your dinner squared away, we in the industry always find it easier to fix a guests unsatisfactory meal and experience while they are still in the building with us. Do me a favor when you are in the area again and are willing to give us another try, ask for Danny. I am the head chef/Kitchen manager and I would love to get you back as a fan of Jack Mackerels!! Again, My apologies and we look forward to serving you again soon! Danny Rose, Chef

Fantastic Carolina Beach Restaurant serving fresh seafood, scratch made pastas & hand cut steaks. Indoor and Outside dinning. Serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week and Sunday brunch. Relax & Enjoy the flavor of Havana's...
Easy walk from our hotel. The patio was packed yet the hostess got us right in. Drinks were excellent. Service was awesome. Had the Oysters Rockefeller. Close to the best we ever had. In our Top 3. The salads were awesome, the shrimp/catfish/oyster plate was huge. Had to get a to go box. The ambiance was great, the location is awesome and they also had a few corn hole boards out. Over all our experience was one we would love to have again.

As a walk-in, I was seated at the bar because all tables were either reserved or occupied. This was fine, though, because I was alone and the bar was perfect. After ordering a special cocktail, enjoyed an appetizer, a complimentary taste of a different appetizer, and then a perfectly prepared fresh catch of Red Drum fish (which I had never heard of). Everything was delicious, fresh, sea-to-table. The owner and wait staff were friendly and made me feel very welcomed. This place is small and is only open for a few hours each evening for the dinner hour, but it is well worth the effort if you can get in. Iâd highly recommend going on a week night as chances of getting seated will be better. They donât rush the guests which is good. If you love trying new dishes that are not fried or greasy, this is the place for you.
