Find out what Campania restaurants to try in Brescia. Set between Milan and Verona at the foot of the Alps, Brescia is the second-largest city in Italy’s northern Lombardy region, with just under 200,000 people. The city’s rich history dates back to pre-Roman times, when it was a Gallic capital. Among the many great local sights are the 11th-century Duomo Vecchio (Old Cathedral, also called La Rotonda), unique for its circular shape, the 17th-century Duomo Nuovo (New Cathedral) next door, and the first-century Roman ruins at Tempio Capitolino.

The hotel we stayed in recommended this restaurant when we asked where to go for a good steak and what a great recommendation! We booked a table short notice and when we got there asked to eat outside. We later realised we were very underdressed for the restaurant so that worked in our favour. We were served by a friendly, knowledgeable waiter speaking very good English. He made some excellent suggestions for a starter platter of meat and cheese which was delicious. Three of us went for the rib eye steak and one for the fillet steak. We all agreed the meals were very, very good. Our friends who like their steak medium/well had the option of the hot plate to cook it further. Mine at medium rare was absolutely perfect. The restaurant is not cheap but definitely worth the price. I would go back when in the area
