Mary Lane's is a tiny restaurant with a big heart. All the food is cooked fresh and comes to your table piping hot. We really enjoy the breakfast - it quick, yummy, and stick to your ribs! We recommend the omelettes, BLT, and good ole, standard breakfast plate. So delicious! It's a great local spot where you feel like family the second you step through the door.

Having seen Facebook postings from this business, we decided to give it a try. This section of Hwy 82 is deep in bayou country, and not easy to find. Located a few miles from Palmetto State Park, one of the best in Louisiana, Bony's offers a special window into the culture and people of the Cajun Country. We had difficult finding Bony's because GPS spots it in the wrong place on the road. The best was to find it is to look for the double caution orange blinking lights, which marks on of the major intersections. Construction was occurring on one side of the intersection, and there is a small gas station/grocery across the street. Bony's is located next to that gas station. It is located off the Hwy and hidden by two oak trees. It is a brick house that was converted to a diner with rustic paintings on the bricks. The interior is very basic and clean with only three tables, and about 4-5 stools. There are "Plate Lunches" on certain days of the week. "Plate Lunches" in Cajun Country are offerings that are ready to serve almost immediately primarily intended to serve customers with limited time for lunch. We both had Shrimp Stew w/rice, Fried Fish, potato salad, corn, and a roll ($8.00). The stew was a bit thin, but tasty, the fish nicely fried, and the potato salad homemade. They have the usual Cajun offerings of various PoBoys, and seafood platters. For those looking for a place frequented solely by locals, this is it! Listening to the conversations, which are difficult not to overhear, allows a visitor to hear the Cajun influence in the language, and the friendly atmosphere. Open from 11am-1pm Monday-Saturday and 5pm-8pm Thursday and Friday.
