This might seem an unlikely destination since the cafe is located in a doctors building but the food is worth the trip even if you don't have an appointment. They specialize in wraps, soups, salads, and sandwiches. The salad bar is the best in Washington for those who prefer to put together their own mix. All food is fresh and made to order and you can do lunch combinations. The Southwest breakfast wrap is great and can be ordered with a side of fruit to make a healthy breakfast.

It's the neighorhood coffee shop the big chains pretend to be with an eclectic blend of retro and comfort furniture. So far, I've tried the tea, latte and mocha, and all were well prepared. Plenty of adjacent parking which is nice for the downtown commuter on the go. Definitely worth a try.

A small, almost hidden, family owned eatery that is Christian bookstore. My daughter and I went here for the first time after I saw the name of the restaurant as a sponsor on one of the local fundraiser cards that schools/groups sell. I looked up their location and we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. They have a very limited menu that includes individual pizzas, panini sandwiches, wraps, and salads. My daughter loves the pizza and the ham and cheese panini. I, too, enjoy the pizza the salads, and the chicken salad wrap. They also serve cappuccino, pastries, and homemade pies. The homemade coconut cream pie is delicious, and my weakness! I usually forgo dessert when I eat out, but I can't pass up this pie. My daughter has had the cherry pie and she said that was terrific, too. Another reason we enjoy this place is that it is quiet. Although they do a steady business, it is never so crowded or loud that you can't enjoy yourself, and you don't feel rushed to free up your table. So, you can relax, talk and enjoy your meal. This has become our go to mom and daughter Saturday lunch place.
