Kin is situated just around the corner to the main street, Storgatan, from the harbour in Simrishamn at Regeringsgatan 17. This café is not very chick; however, it is bohemian and quite cosy and good for kids. It is also a bakery and it seem as they also sold some clothes. There are just a couple of tables outside and not that many inside, and their interior decorator obviously did not have a large budget. The furniture seems to have been bought at some cheap second-hand shop.However, the food is very imaginative and beautifully displayed and was very tempting for lunch. It looked vegetarian to us and the alternatives were few, and we were more interested in their cakes. There was a rather rich assortment of cakes nicely displayed in a glass tower, and everything had a special twist. All the different cakes we had was quite good and we can recommend them. We also liked that they had a lot of different teas and not just the standard yellow tea bags as many other cafés. The staff were also very friendly but had a lot to do. For a vegetarian lunch or tea and cakes we can warmly recommend this friendly and cosy café. Be aware of their limited opening hours, just four days a week, Wednesday to Saturdays.

You always get a good coffee, freshly baked buns or pastries and may sit in the yard behind and take in the first sun-rays while quietly sipping you coffee, as I did my cappuccino today with the Danish pastry with an egg yoke-custard-like filling, the pastry as ''al dente'' and crispy as it should be...friendly faces all around, many seniors..my kind of people...going about their business...taking in the morning..
