Things to do in Salem
We had:Lassi - liked, worth 50 bucksChicken Nuggets - fried from a frozen packet, as is the norm nowadaysGrilled Cheese and Peanut butter sandwiches - overpriced. Highly so. Power was off, so was told would be toasted. Agreed. However for 80 bucks, I expect larger sandwiches or more of themView is decent, but apart from hot or cold beverages, I would give this a miss.
Somebody very wise once said that "You are what you eat," and we at French Loaf believe in that completely. From puffs, pastries, mousses, éclairs, sandwiches and breads, to cookies, crumbles, pies and more, French Loaf has something to please everybody p
Combined with The French Loaf, as a larger group we had to take an inside table. With metallic uncomfortable wobbly chairs, the ambiance is poor. Add below average service to this. However the food was good despite the Phuket fish not being fresh and the fried rice being forgettable. The Devils prawns was average but the rest of the food was excellent. Portions smaller than we expected. Ended with some excellent fried ice cream.
This restaurant is started recently on the NH very close to Attur, Salem. An A2B restaurant with tasty vegetarian food. Spacious parking, neat inner space, tasty vegetarian food with slightly higher cost. The environment is very clean making us forget about the little higher cost. Enjoyed eating my dinner recently on my way back to Salem.
