I have eaten at Steve and Andreas several times and have always had a great experience. I especially enjoy breakfast and really love their fruit filled pancakes. They tend to resemble crepes with the fruit added directly to the batter. This gives them a really nice flavor and texture as they melt in your mouth. Combined with a hot cup of their fresh brewed coffee its a hearty breakfast you'll really enjoy.

We found this place on a Sunday morning almost empty! Parking in small lot, or on the street, service was very attentive, food was very good, and the prices were moderate. The skirt steak and eggs for breakfast was very filling, for $10; most prices are $8 and up.

At first glance, you would say that the Gain Ville Cafe in Rutherford specializes in coffee and dessert. But there is a larger mission here. The Cafe is also an educational center where several languages and ESL are taught. Gain Ville is also a gathering place for local poets and musicians. The Red Wheelbarrow Poets meet here monthly. The name comes from the famous poem by Dr. William Carlos Williams, who wrote poetry and practiced pediatric medicine in Rutherford.
