We stopped in here for lunch while touring the lovely city of Matanzas. My husband had a delicious sandwich and our guide also enjoyed his chicken sandwich. But for me - the wonderful fruit salad was the best. In fact, I so enjoyed the fresh cut up fruit, after finishing mine, I ordered one for them to enjoy. This is a pleasure not to be missed!

Our tour guide chose and made all the arrangements for our lunch at the Cafe Mundo Restaurante, and we loved his idea! We had the place all to ourselves, so the service was top-notch. We were seated, refreshments served, and everyone ordered (of course our driver ate with us and we paid). The food that followed was magnificent. In fact, it was the best meal we had in Cuba this trip. The seafood platters were tasty and could not be finished, and their homemade Chicken Cordon Bleu (chicken stuffed with ham and cheese) was the best ever! Portions are large so bring your appetite. After lunch we were served desserts, cafes, and of course after dinner drinks.I recommend the Cafe Mundo for any meal while in Matanzas, Cheers! Paul
