That the regulars of the station are not surprised not to find the Panoramic at the top of La Masse! The altitude did not make them turn their heads! The reputable, and well-known skier's facility has simply changed owners. Marion and Sebastien, the new o

Really nice restaurant at the top of "La mass". The restaurant is divided in two areas "real restaurant" with waiters and nice cutlery and plates and "self service". In "self service" you can buy some standardised dishes which are cooked in the same kitchen as the dishes in the restaurant. In general I can say food is really good, restaurant is clean and nice, staff is friendly and the facilities are clean and nicely designed. The most spectacular thing in this restaurant are the views and the location.Thank's a million. we try and do the best to make this place an exceptional restaurant.

I was skiing with friends in Les Menuires and we drooped by to the Cafe Snack for a lunch by chance. The place is not big and it is called snack so we didn't expect fancy food. What a mistake! Everything is homemade (even the bread) with quality products including some local meats and cheeses. The chef/owner was friendly and available, very dedicated in making quality food. We came back to this place a couple of times and we'll go again next year. Much better value for money than most of the fancy-looking pretentious places you can find in ski resorts. Definitely recommended.

Funky hippy place. Great location, walking distance to central meeting point. Easy enough to cut across the carpark, take lift up, cross over the road to the main lifts. Rooms small but clean. Bathroom dark and very basic. Don’t understand why French bathrooms do not have shower curtains. We had arrived on a Thursday after a long flight from Asia. Checked in, rented skis, ate in the hotel (or should I say hostel) and settled in for an early night to rest up for ski-ing next morning. All fine to this point. Was given room right outside lift, so could hear everyone who came onto the floor. Just the luck of the draw with room location. However, 10:30 at night, boom boom boom boom, loud music starts up. Thought it was one of the guests so waited a while. At about 11pm went up to front desk to ask them to investigate. Staff were very apologetic and said the owner/manager is available but there’s nothing they can do and to speak to him directly.Spoke with said gentleman, who basically didn’t give two hoots about the noise. He wasn’t apologetic and was aware that you could hear the music in the rooms. Turns out this is a weekly event at H036, where it goes on until 12:30am. His exact response to the noise was ‘this is a hostel not a hotel’. At over €200 a night, I’d imagine that the bear minimum one should be able to expect is a noise free room. I understand hostels are extremely flexible with check in time, while check in here is 4pm (only hotels in the Maldives have later check in time than this hostel). Check out time is a very strict 11am, again even 5 star hotels have later check out times and are flexible. We had to pay an extra charge for a slightly later checkout. The restaurant is served by fantastic staff in the evening. Pleasant, hard working and are a credit to this place. If not for them, this would be a 1star review. The other star is simply for location. The morning service however, 2 out of 3 mornings, they couldn’t even get the boiled eggs right (cracked the eggs only to have raw eggs spill all over our plates). If you can sleep through anything, then this is well located. Pay attention to the locks on the doors however as the locks are close to the frame and it’s very easy to trap your fingers. If you value your sleep, like me, then this isn’t the place for you.
