This is a great self-service hut with a friendly owner and located just off the main Gerlos slopes. There's a huge quantity of great skiing near it and because it's up high and not near the gondola base station, it's not overcrowded. There's a big sun terrace for sunbathing on warm days. Inside you'll get good value, traditional, hearty Austrian mountain food, a cosy atmosphere and a chance to view the owner's hunting trophies and taxidermy. A proper Tirolean ski HÃ¼tte!
