Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in front of a magic view full of mountains at Lake Eildon. Cafe 501 caters for all customers including gluten, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian and celiac. Enjoy a fresh icy cold beer poured straight from tap or our house win
Just had a wonderful lunch at the 501 cafe, bar and grill.A very calm Autumn day looking out over lake Eildon. The menu choice is adequate, entrees, mains, seniors and children's selections, plus a specials board. A drinks bar is part of the cafe, sipping a glass of your favourite drinkwatching boats move around the lake, very pleasant. This part of the cafe is only open at certain times so it will pay to check. They have a take away shop attached, it also sells boating, fishing equipment, food and wine, etc.It is located at Jerusalem creek, Lake Eildon, Victoria. Here there is a caravan park, public boat ramp, lake fishing. I believe you can hire picnic boats, speed boats, houseboats and floating cabins. The Eildon township is a10 min. drive, also with accommodations.501 cafe has a courtesy bus available so you can be picked up and dropped off at your accommodation.Well worth a visit, we had fish, chips and salad and calamari c&s, shared between the two of us, a glass of sav. blanc and a glass of cider, plenty of other choices are available, then had coffee to finish off. Prices are what you expect to pay for pub meals, but there are cheaper alternatives. If you are in the area it is worth trying this place. Thank you so much for your review! Cafe 501 has changed so much since you were last here! We have a much wider range of food choice catering for special dietary requirements, lots more fresh beer on tap and more entertainment including a gaming section for kids and adults! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Where to eat Australian food in Eildon: The Best Restaurants and Bars
The pizza was fairly unimpressive: a little burnt around the edges, not especially well presented. Having said that, the ingredients of the pizza seemed to be of reasonable quality. It was essentially of a quality I would expect from a pizza I throw together for myself at home - not a $16-22 pizza. There was a $1 charge per person simply for being there (judging by the label on the menu) and a $2 surcharge on any card transactions. On the upside, the $10 glass of wine was substantial and the beers were not excessively priced.
