As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city's population was 37,941, making it the 16th-largest city in Missouri, and the largest city in Southeast Missouri. An emerging college town, it is the home of Southeast Missouri State University.

We went here to try the cheesecake and realized they also have amazing food! My only complaint was trying to decide which decadent dessert to try was hard!!! So much!! The restaurant was clean and employees were friendly .

I invited a customer to lunch and we went to Socials Cafe. She had a Caesar salad and tomato basil bisque and said they both were wonderful! I had the strawberry spinach salad and it was delicious! I cannot wait to return!!! P.S. Their cupcakes look AMAZING but I didn't have any room left. I am saving room and getting one next time!!!

We enjoyed the Big Mama and the Bomb. Both burgers were good, but you have to expect them to have some grease as part of the meal. Would like for the fryers to get salted when they are cooked as they need salt. Lunch crowd on a Sunday had the place full. We've been there a couple times and they can be too busy for the size of the staff, but we keep coming back to try these different hamburgers. Price is very good.
