On a wine-tasting tour through the South Fork, we stopped for a quick lunch at the Golden Pear. It is a chain, with other outposts in Bridgehampton, Southampton and Sag Harbor. The place was clean, well-lit and happy, with a nice display of bakery goods, salads and sandwiches. Our sandwiches were totally fresh and delicious, as were the salads. Even more importantly, the coffee was excellent and the price was right. Load up here for a picnic, or stop by for a quick lunch.

Stopped in today, was in a rush, the girl behind the counter was ready for my order and cooked my egg sandwich perfectly. The fresh orange juice was just what I was looking for! The register gal was courteous and fast! Iâll be back!
