We were on a family trip to Hall and, quite by chance, found Bergl. After some umming and ahhing, we decided to try it out as mountain cuisine sounded fun. And it was excellent. Superb Wiener Schnitzel and Bratkartoffel, good soups, nice wines. Excellent "traditional-modern" ambience and attentive and friendly service. We thought it looked new and yes, it only opened in September 2017. Try it out - it's REALLY worth it!

The Sudhaus might well have the most dramatic and impressive setting of any brewpub in Germany. While they have indoor seating too (and a beer museum), the highlight is definitely their rooftop beer garden. The view over the town of Schwaebisch Hall, and the valley that surrounds it, is magnificent. The food is pitched as being a bit more upmarket than your typical brewery, and it is more expensive than similar places, but the prices certainly aren't as sky-high as the views. The beer was perfectly nice without being anything special in my opinion, but it certainly tasted good sitting out on the roof. You should certainly book a table if you want to sit on the roof, especially if you want a table on the side overlooking the town.

Auch dieses Jahr schauen wir hier vorbei. Der Biergarten hat sich wieder um eine gröÃere Zahl Bänke / Tische vergröÃert. Bei schönem Wetter 'brummt der Laden', vermutl. mangels Alternativen in Künzelsau. Die Preise haben angezogen, die Qualität der Speisen war schon überzeugender. Die Frage: Mayo oder Ketchup geht schon gar nicht - das gehört in die Imbissbude Aus Rücksicht auf den tüchtigen, sympathischen Betreiber vergeben wir nochmals 4 Sternchen. Ehrlicher wären 3 Punkte.
