The Benedictine monastery of Tegernsee, which was founded in the year 746, provides the first indications of monasterial brewing. But the earliest date of which we can be certain is that found on the marble plaque on the wall between the pub table and bar
A great location, right by the Tegernsee Lake, and friendly and relaxing ambiance. Food was very good. I had half of the pig shank. The company ordered a salad with goat cheese, pork medallion, and camembert cheese platter. Everything was delicious, though one dish took a while to come out. Service was efficient and courtious, considering the place was packed, and we had questions about some items on the menu. Sitting outside was a plus since the weather was amazing. Would go back again.Dear RUComing, thanks for your great review and your visit! We hope to welcome you soon again and wish you all the best till then!Best regards from Bräustüberl!

This fine Bavarian restaurant, nicely located in Gmund, a town on the bank of Tegernsee lake, was completely renovated and recently reopened, so some friends who live in nearby Tegernsee invited us to have dinner there. We were very impressed! The decor is old traditional, with dark wood wainscotting. We had typical Bavarian/Tirolean dishes, Schweinebraten (roast pork) for me, and all four of us declared our selections to be very tasty. The staff were friendly and prompt, and helpful in suggesting dishes to try.All in all, a very pleasant evening.

Went in on Saturday night without a reservation. Place was swamped, but they worked to fit us in. This is a fun place and draws locals and repeat business from tourists. Great menu and the food is real good. My calf liver was tender and the sauce was to die for. The inside decor is so well done. When we're back in this area we'll do it again. I highly recommend!Dear judgejohnny, thank you very much for your words of praise. We were very happy about it and will be happy to pass on your compliments to our team. Nice that you were with us. On an early reunion with best regards from Feichtner Hof! :-)
