We recently ate at Smoke and Spice Southern Bbq while in Windsor and had the que for 2. The que for 2 is a meat platter of ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken wings and crispy chicken which was meat heaven. For our sides we had mac and cheese, potato salad and waffle fries. The mac and cheese was delicious with lots of cheese. The potato salad was very good with what seemed a hint of dill. The waffle fries are seasoned with their dry rub and are very tasty. Our server was friendly and prompt. Great bbq with huge servings and always leave full.

I landed in Windsor around 8:30pm. By the time I got my rental it was about 8:45. The website said that they close at 10pm but I thought better safe than sorry, maybe I should call to confirm they are open. The lady answers and I tell her Iâm thinking of heading down and would they be open? There is a pause and I clarify that I was about 20 minutes away. She says that she doesnât know and asks me the time. I tell her itâs 8:45pm. She says that they will be open and so I chart a path from the airport to Tommyâs excited to have some BBQ. When I get there the door is locked but there are employees inside. I shake the door a bit in hopes that someone has the balls to come over and tell me they are closed. Not a single person even looks at me. I make my way back to the car and hit redial. A guy answers the phone. I told him my story and he replies, sorry we closed early. I am dumbfounded at how cautious I was, and of how oblivious they are about what just happened. I rebutted that I called to avoid this very situation. Please understand that didnât swear, I didnât yell, but I was obviously upset. He simply just hung up on me or put me on hold or something. I waited for several minutes listening to what seemed to be a hold beep but it was clear I had been abandoned. What can I do? Share my experience with the world and hope they do better for the next guy.

We were greeted by a cheerful young lad I think Dennis was his name. We ordered 2 rice dishes combo that came with soup, spring roll and fried rice, and a side dish of roasted pork. The portions were huge! We didn't even consume half of it. Our servers Enny and Diane were very courteous, friendly and attentive to our needs. Enny even gave us coins to put in the parking meter so we won't get ticketed! Talk about customer service! Food was tasty and scrumptious! They have a take out counter for grab and go. I highly recommend this place!
