During our 2 weeks stay in the area, we ate here 3 times! Twice for lunch & once for dinner. Lunch we had very tasty chicken/salad/'crisps' & washed down with lovely vinho verde. Dinner we tried the leitao (suckling pig) - this was amazingly tasty, perfect crackling!! Each time we finished with the best rice pudding ever!! They also have orawns & fish on the menu for those who do not partake in meat. If you have time before/after - take a little walk to the shop to the right - an Aladdin's cave of portuguese pottery.

This restaurant is situated just outside the Äentre of town, but still a short walk from the beach. You can sit outside or inside. Outside lets you see the chef cooking his feasts in an open oven, from which the fabulous smell makes your mouth water. The restaurant is on the site of an old well, hence the name.Four of us had steak on the stone- a huge slab of beef fillet and a searing hot stone, to let you slice it and cook it to your own taste. This huge plateful cost only â¬12.50 and is accompanied by fries.We had five large meals plus drinks for â¬60.One of the waitresses was a bit glum, but the other, younger one was delightful.Highly recommended.

Good restaurant with lots of typical portuguese food.Fresh fish is one of the most traditional.Our experience was not perfect, because they bring the food one by one, when I finish my 2 kids donât have yet the foodVery slow and no explanation from the staff.But regarding the food was ok and tasty.Price normal , 2 adults and 2 kids, wine but not desert, around â¬50.My experience was not perfect but i would recommend
