We were travelling from France to Roses, but stopped for lunch just after 14h30 at Cal Patufet, where we took the 3 course 8.50 Euro menu inc. wine, water, and an amuse buche of diy garlic bread. Mmmmm An absolute bargain, in a buzzy restaurant with spacious tables and happy waitresses, and all for 19.20 Euros including coffees.

Since the first time I was taken there in April of this year I paid a further three visits there taking different friends. The restaurant is well decorated and spotlessly clean. There is plenty of parking and a small children's zoo to one side of the building as well as children's rides.The 11 euros menu is really good. Three courses and a small carafe of wine per person.The food is well cooked and prepared and the staff really are lovely. So helpful.On a minus point,despite their restaurant advertising literature being shown (as well as other languages) and a few signs outside written in English as far as I could tell there was not a member of staff who spoke any English at all. The menu is written in Spanish and French only and you have to be able to have at least restaurant Spanish or French language ability to order. For me thankfully it isn't a problem. But English speakers only..beware. It's a shame as its a smashing place.

Restaurante de cocina tradicional catalana. Desayunos, comidas, meriendas y cenas. Gran surtido de ibéricos y tapas. Carnes de primerÃsima calidad a la brasa de leña de encina.

Du monde dans ce restaurant et l on comprends pourquoi. Maison familiale où la patronne est attentive et souriante. Menus tout compris entrée, plat ,dessert, vin et café pour 13,50 euros. La paella proposée et la viande sont succulentes..Ce petit village catalan vous surprendra. A noter lors de notre prochaine virée dans cette Catalogne si attachante.
