We visited this new place for the first time recently. It is clean with light oak furnishings though little decor. Plenty of tuned-in sports TV screens on each wall. Thoug it was not busy on the weeknight we went, I can imagine it might get loud given the one large room set-up.Our group had BBQ sandwich, fried fish sandwich, potato skins, sweet potato fries, and several veggie sides. All were well prepared while none stood out in particular. Perfectly adequate for a sports pub.Prices were reasonable, service was friendly if a bit slow. Given the limited decent casual dining options in Gorham, it's good to be able to add this place to the mix.

I expected a little more from a student of Emeril . I had read a review and had high hopes . Excitedly made a reservation for Friday night .. I like the atmosphere of the old house , but our table for 2 was a little too close to the next one for comforable conversation . Small rooms did make it hard to flag dow the waitress at times . She was nice , but disappeared quickly and often . The recommended chicken leg app. was very good although the chile sauce was remenicent of bottled . We had a great beer and cocktail although I always resent a $ pricey cocktail that doesn't at least give you a little buzz . A good pour will always keep you at the door ! We ordered the bread for $4.00 . The biscuts were very dry , tough and flat . Cornbread muffins were tiny but OK tasting . Would have been acceptible as complementary , but not for a charge .Our entres were fine . My husband had nice moist ribs , mashed potatoes , and really good beans . I had a flounder special . Nice fish served with gummy risotto , rather bland too .Veggies good . We were pretty happy with our meals thus far . Decided to split a special dessert of buttersbotch pudding . A rarely seen favorite of mine , so a splurge . $8.50 . After a long wait we recieved a dish of stiff , grainy stuff with wilting praline bits and really tired , sad little bit of whipped cream . We tasted and said what the .... is this ? Seamed like ricotta with something sweet dragged through it . NOT pudding at all ! We questioned our waitress and expressed or disappointment and she said , well I usually say it's not really pudding , but i forgot to tell you . Offered another choice , but buy that time we just wanted to go . It was warm in there . Another waitress within earshot said "Is that the butterscotch pudding ? " ) . She stuck up her nose indicating that she was not a fan either . The waitress came back with our bill and hadn't removed the dessert . She really made quite an uncomfortable issue of it and said she'd have to ask someone . Her ungraciousness really ruined what had been a pretty nice dinner . I wrote the manager about it as they are new and still learning . He offered to give us a dessert if we returned , but never explained what the mess was that we were served . Sigh . For $100. for 2 folks things should be perfect . Still craving a great pudding . Guess I'll have to make some myself. Likely will try again , maybe.

We stopped in for dinner on a Thursday evening to a mostly empty restaurant. Service was OK and the restaurant was clean with ample parking. Unfortunately the food was pretty mediocre. We had never had burnt ends and really excited to try this dish....meh. Not carmelized at all and kind of like warmed up brisket with some sauce. Our entrees were just as underwhelming. I think its their rub or spice choice but the overall flavor was just not good and every sauce on the table was terrible. All of this just made the cost of the meal feel really unjustified and way overpriced. The best thing about our food was the corn bread. Unfortunately we will not be back.
