After a long drive, we were very hungry and wanted something quick and easy. Chubbyâs looks like an old-fashioned BBQ joint, just off Rt. 15. The building is old, and so is the décor. Though, the autographed photos of famous guests (remember Erik Estrada of the TV show CHIPS?). The service, however, is very friendly. We were greeted with a cheery howdy as we came in, and were invited to take a seat. Soon, Beth came by to take our order: two pulled pork sandwiches (one with coleslaw and the other with potato salad) and two beers. The beers cam in an instant, and the sandwiches came close behind. There was a rack on the table with a selection of six BBQ sauces, with safety instructions. The sandwiches were excellent, the beer was cold, and the service quick and efficient. Soon we were back on the road, satisfied and fortified. Highly recommended.

We came specifically for the entertainment this weekend and grab lunch while we were there. I'm not a fan of Bar b q anything, I know who doesn't like It! Well I had a hard time with the menu the only thing that even looked remotely good was the smoked turkey, it was okay. My man likes bar b q and enjoyed the beef sandwich. The bakes beans were good. French fries were good, but you can't go wrong with them. May I suggest that have an item or two on the menu that could be a good choice (hamburger/cheese burger) for those that don't like bar b q? Thank you.

I wrote a review of Frontier three years ago to the month and I wanted to to a follow-up.Things have improved a little. Not the food, that can't be improved upon, it's fantastic! But the service has improved since that last review. Actually it improved last year, but I neglected to do a follow-up. They actually started using that second window I talked about and did just as I mentioned and started taking orders at one window and have other people serve the food at the other window. This has significantly sped up the process. But, the wait in line is still significant because their business has also increased, so the lines are still long and you still stand in the hot sun waiting. It's funny, the area around the place has a lot of trees for shade, except where you have to stand in line. The new frustration can be finding a seat since business has increased so much they often run out of available tables. Also, in my original review the price for the complete meal was $12, well it's now $15. The complete meal gives you the best of everything and is a lot of food, so unless you're really hungry, or want different meats, you can split a meal.All-in-all, it's a great place and I've never found it's equal in both food and atmosphere, but I'm not a patient person for long lines and have always faulted the owner of a business where this is a constant problem for not reevaluating his processes to reduce or eliminate lines.
