We were passing through the area to stay in a cabin rental. I didn't want to cook that night, so we picked up some BBQ here after reading online reviews. The BBQ was amazing. (So was not having to cook.) But seriously, some really good BBQ and very reasonably priced.

Excellent BBQ and large portions. Mac n cheese and green beans are a nice alternative to the traditional potato salad and beans, although these are available as well. Good pies and I suggest you opt for the lemonade. Good people own and work at this restaurant.

Family BBQ is quite a drive down Yellow Creek Rd, I'm surprised is still considered Dickson. We have bought BBQ here several times and we usually like it. The last time though, the barbecue tasted old and the BBQ bologna sandwich was stone cold. There is no dine-in here. Prices are very reasonable. The sauces are good. The lady that works there is very nice.
