This is the northernmost location for the Missouri-based Bandanas chain. Compared to the Rib Crib chain thatâs centered in Oklahoma, I found that the food is not as good at Bandanas. Itâs also not as good as at Jimmy Jackâs, a one-store outfit in nearby Iowa City, where they smoke the meat right there and serve it with enthusiasm. Bandanaâs signature dish is the pork, which is tender but nothing special. The service was no different from that at a typical Applebeeâs or Chilis chain restaurant.I assume the meat is smoked elsewhere because I saw no smoker outside the building.Overall, itâs just another undistinguished chain. Itâs safe, itâs predictable, and itâs unworthy of more than three stars.

I love a supper club & have passed the lighthouse many times. Iâve found that with restaurants that have been around for several years you often run into them being unkept and showing their years. This was NOT the case with the lighthouse! We walked into an intimate, timeless, sparkling clean restaurant! The music & booths added to the ambiance! The prices were impressive & the food was delicious! $4 for a homemade dessert and an extra to take home was the end to a fantastic evening! Canât wait to return!

We shared pulled pork, beef brisket and ribs...excellent! Trevor did great on chopping up beef brisket as,we prefer that versus sliced that they also can do. We also got pint of baked potato salad that was very tasty. Trevor and another were very nice, friendly and thanked our group for eating there. We are retired people and appreciate that these people at Billy Sims are respectful. Jesse, manager was not there tonight, also is excellent person that we normally see that treats ALL customers as VIPS and did great job training the employees that customers are king and queen! WELL DONE!
