Reviews on Barbecue food in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Cairo’s an ancient city that also happens to be a modern metropolis—it’s one of the biggest cities in the Middle East and has the traffic and noise issues to prove it. But as long as you’re not looking for solitude, Cairo—the City of the Thousand Minarets—is a splendid place to explore Egyptian history and culture. Was a lovely touch to see the older women (who made me think of grandmas) making the bread near the huge clay oven. Cooking the food on the grill ourselves was very entertaining. Best baba ganoush I have ever had & the bread in the fattoush was so crispy!! Plus there is lovely views of the river from the courtyard.

Sobhy caber is a good restaurant for families and visitors who want to try Egyptian food.I visited the new restaurant that was recently renovated, waiting for 30 minutes till getting in, from entering, till getting food it took 15..20 min. You need to order once as any extra items will take more time as they told me.The taste was excellent, staff were helpful and price was excellent compared with other Egyptian restaurants.Parking is terrible as my car got scratches.I do to recommend trying it at least once but for myself will be hard to drive from New cairo to try it again unless I'm close to.
