After spending the morning exploring the old Roman gold mines, our expectations of whatâs more to see/do in the region was raised higher. Our friends promised this place would please our appetite. The excitement grew when we pulled into the farm nearby. It was a bit of an adventure getting to the dinning area; as we walked across the irrigation over wooden planks, then climbed up a small dirt path.. then we saw the farm for the snails. It was my first time to enjoy escargot. The entire meal was a joyful experience. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, and presented beautifully. Definitely a place to visit when youâre lucky enough to make it to Leon, Spain.
