Sirocco was one of the last FULL restaurants, that were open, that we ate at in Igea Marina.It really was an average restaurant. The food was properly prepared and served by courteous staff.The Italian dishes, especially the seafood seemed flat or plain compared to the other restaurants we had recently eaten at. This was perhaps the "authentic" style of their Italian food?Watching the pizzas being made beside the real wood fire oven was fascinating - I think the pizza chef was an artist! Just as interesting is the open fire burning next to the oven; the hot embers were used to cook the fish etc. If you ever wondered how they get the "BBQ style" grill cooking without the burnt charcoal look, now you know.The dolce, a soft and very moist tiramiso made a good ending to our meal.Overall, pleasant service, real Italian food, in one of only a few restaurants still open!

I recently dined here with a group of friends and found it to be a treat! It is set out like a typical American Diner that you would expect to see in a 1950's film! The food was simple but hearty and there was a wide selection but I went with the traditional hamburger. There are also plenty of options for kids. It is definitely one of the best restaurants to go to if you do have children because alongside the great kids menu the atmosphere is very kids appropriate!I would definitely return.
