What a fabulous find. Very accommodating for dairy-free gluten-free which I really appreciate. Everyone was really happy with their food. The service was lovely. We will be back!

We called for lunch here on Christmas Eve. The food order was simple apart from Gammon for 1 person that I understand takes a while to cook but over 35 minutes!!! After I asked for the food to be chased we were told the gammon was a thick piece that needed cooking longer. At this point My partner told me to leave it.Eventually we got the food eating in silence as it caused an argument between us.Later that evening the argument blew up again over the food order and my partner packed his bag and returned home with his parents, leaving me to spend Christmas Day on my own in a holiday cottage.Thank you the Cross Keys Hotel for ruining my Christmas.Dear marko678I am disappointed to read your such negative review and that, according to your comments, that you waited over 35 minutes for your lunch to be served. This is very unusual (if your comments are accurate/genuine) and I will take this up with waiting and kitchen staff to find out the facts.Even in the event that, after my investigation, it is genuine that you waited 35 minutes for your lunch to be served - I find your comments - 'Thank you the Cross Keys Hotel for ruining my Christmas' somewhat unfair.RegardsLiz DyetGeneral Manager
