My friend Graeme and I were kayaking on Labor Day weekend. We were starving and wanted a beer and some place to relax. What a great find Schera's was.The patio is awesome, especially in the evening. We ordered an appetizer and some beers. There are plenty of local brews on the menu, and we were happy with the mixed plate of hummus, tabouli and more.Our main courses were generous portions and we both enjoyed our selections. All in all it was a really nice evening. The service was great, but it was not fast so be sure you plan accordingly. If you are in Elkader, check this place out

Iâve had things go both ways here. The food is good enough and Iâll come back for that. However, sometimes it can be a bit slow getting your order taken and then your food brought out. Iâll be back, but I will have a looser timeline.

We absolutely love eating at our local establishment! The atmosphere here is friendly and happy....all about the customer! The owners talk to the customers and want to honestly know your opinion of food and service. The food is typical bar foods. Friday night Fish fry is awesome!
