We were lucky to eat here twice, both times without reservations. The ambiance is special as the Inn was originally built is 1716. I had the 6 oz. steak cooked to perfection (very rare), served with potatoes and grilled asparagus. Ordering a warm, non-alcoholic cider made it perfect. Our only problem occurred when we tried to pay. We ultimately had to track down the waiter. Same thing happened at lunch the next day. We received excellent meals during both visits,

Salads, sandwiches, baked goods, soups, several beers on tap, bottled and in cans, coffee, tea, etc. Much larger than it seems when you come in so there is a lot of seating.

I always love going to this restaurant. It's not because the food is outstanding, although it's always been very good, but the quality of the food is always good, the atmosphere is upbeat and the pricing cannot be beat. The menu changes with the seasons and at this time of year they have one of the best lobster rolls in the area. The menu is so extensive that anyone can find what they are looking for.
