I haven't been to this "birreria" in ages and recently decided to go back there with some friends, after such a long time.The interior hasn't changed that much (which is not a bad thing!!!) and the quality and choice of beers won't certainly let anyone down as there is something for all tastes!Not to mention the food with unbelievably amazing sandwiches...This is not a usual pub but an institution!

This is potentially a great place: an ancient stone cellar bar with heaps of atmosphere. They do food, speciality bottled beers and 3 good draught options including a 7,2% bock. We went twice and it was surprisingly un-busy both nights. The first night we spotted too late that we'd been charged 6 beers when we'd only had 5, but put it down to an honest mistake. The second night they got greedier, but we were watching out. We had 5 beers again and lo and behold they put 8 on the bill Perhaps this place is failing and they desperately need the revenue, but this is not the way to do it.Solitamente preferiamo non rispondere alle recensioni, il più delle volte le critiche contengono buoni consigli e spunti per migliorarsi. In questo caso però oltre a essere stati la parte lesa della vicenda ci ritroviamo pubblicamente accusati. Il signore in questione si è ubriacato e pretendeva di non pagare le birre bevute, è andato via solo dopo aver molestato parecchi clienti (era sabato sera, il locale era pieno), sbraitando, senza neanche riuscire a rivestirsi completamente dopo essere uscito dal bagno. Gli abbiamo comunque concesso di pagare 5 birre invece di 8 per liberarci di lui. Una triste vicenda, ma evidentemente doveva dare un senso alla sua perdita di dignità . Not only the lord in question got drunk insisting on not paying his beers, but he also molested several customers (it was on a Saturday night, the pub was full), screaming and yelling, without even being able to re-dress properly after leaving the loo. We still allowed him to pay 5 beers instead of the 8 he drank in order to get rid of him. A sad story, but clearly he had to make sense of his loss of dignity. let's start with the reason to visit it:-the beer is good, and the price for a microbrewery beer is very good, almost the same you pay for an heineken tap beer. really worth a try if you like good beer.- the place is nice - service was fast and efficientBUT- it lacks the warm atmosphere I expect in a microbrewery pub, the personnel is kind, but kind of cold. I love professional personnel, which try to understand the taste of the customer and give advices and descriptions because they love what they sell. This I didn't find. - food price is too high. we took "pork shank with vegetables" -but ... actually lacked the vegetables, there was an idea of vegetables of the size of three chickpeas , we really thought they forgot to bring them to the table! and the skin of the pork, which is my favourite part, was in large part not eatable, and I am trained also for the more challenging. it costed 17 euros plus 10% service. I don't think it deserved.Maybe we were unlucky. The fried potatoes we took to take the place of the vegetables we expected were very good.In any case even in case we were unlucky I don't like and idea of a beer place with only expensive food. Next time I will go just for the beer/- opening time at 8:30 even on sunday... isn't it a bit too late?- lady at the counter: cold kindness, I did not feel welcome neither when we arrived nor when we left. Maybe I went there the wrong day.
