Got to experience Masa Sushi during our recent lunch visit. I am always a bit put off when I can pick up even a slightly fishy odor when entering this type of restaurant- although there proved to be no problem with anything we ordered and ate in spite of the mildly off putting fragrance. Prices here appear on the high side for the quality offered but it's not like there is a lot of competition in this rural setting. We will give this place a Little more time to find itself and then return to try it - really hoping it develops into a very good Sushi destination.

The Pandan Room restaurant is serving Thai and Indonesian Cuisine in Hackettstown area since July 2006. Thank you all for your support and regular visits.Reservations recommended especially on Friday and Saturday night.
Liked it very much. A first-time diner, I am always concerned with the definition of "Mild," "Hot," and "Very Hot," at Asian restaurants. There is just no way to translate the eatery's opinion to yours. I chose "Mild." The next time (and there will be a next time!), I will go for "Hot."Michael Gesner, The Wandering Gourmet, Broadway, New Jersey

Took the granddaughters. The hibachi tuna and chicken were delicious. Rice, noodles and vegetables were all tasty. The cook put on a good show. The desserts of fried banana, tempura cheesecake and mochi ice cream were great. Busy place, be sure to make reservations.
