This restaurant is dirty. So much so that I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it if it had been good. They charge just like the "real" Japanese places but the cut of steak isn't even identifiable. The rice isn't even fried, just steamed. The yum yum sauce is some sick twisted variation of mayonaise! Nothing about this place is acceptable other than the closest "real" Japanese steak house is 35 miles in each direction. Save your money and take the time to travel to Myrtle beach or Wilmington to get the real thing. It's only about 45 minutes to either. Very disappointed in the value of the food. Very poor quality.

Most people who arenât from the area canât correctly pronounce Shallotte (doesnât rhyme with Charlotte) but we know Zengâs has some amazing Chinese food. My top choice is Mu Shu Pork (with steamed wrappers) with hoisin sauce smeared inside. So good Iâve consumed an entire order! Their daily Chinese buffet isnât very notable but their menu items cooked to order are awesome.

I had take out and just one time, so take that as it is. I ordered the General Thomas chicken, extra spicy and with breastfeeding meat (extra charge). It tasted just ok, but not extra spicy and it was made with dark meat, not white meat chicken. The vegetable fried rice was just ok. There is a large buffet for eat in that looked ok and had a good variety.
