Les meilleurs plats japonais de la planète. Excellent.

Fuji has rapidly become a must go for dinner in Fort de France. Even if the bill is somewhat salty for the small portions proposed. But concept is new, decor is refined, modern, Japanese food is decent with some special dishes like miso soup, coleslaw, tuna chirashi or salmon nigiri. Prime location on Malecon, Fort de France sea front.

What a pleasant surprise! Le Lotus d'Asie is a lovely little Asian jewel tucked away in an unlikely little neighborhood. Lotuses are symbols of purity and 'spontaneous' generation and hence symbolize divine birth. Perhaps the name provides a fertile metaphor to describe this Vietnamese owned and operated eatery. It really lets you scratch the asian meal itch if you are way from the states and are looking for something special. While the neighborhood and the restaurant exterior would never suggest a restaurant resided there; step inside and be transported to Viet Nam. The dining room is spotless and the decor is quite charming. The table setting is very inviting and the wait staff very attentive. The menu provides a wide assortment of Vietnamese dishes that are unparralleled in Martinique. I enjoyed my mixed appetizer dish (very light and well executed. It was followed by a wonderful laquered duck. This is a sure bet while in Martinique.
