This restaurant has the advantage of opening earlier than many of the others nearby. Unfortunately we were served by a gentleman who lacked any grace or customer focus. Because we were a 'large group' (12) we were only allowed to order from a restricted menu, despite us being the only customers. One of our group, when asked for his drink order, said 'Can I get a lemonade?' to which the owner said 'You've got a menu - you look.', rather simply saying 'We've only got 7Up/Sprite' or whichever it was. The visit was only rescued by the lady taking over serving, as well as cooking, leaving him to moan behind the counter. The food was nice and if it wasn't for him I'd love to go back and support her. As it is, I'll be going elsewhere.

It was nice to have a different cuisine but in my opinion it all lacked spice. Probably to suit the general public but it would have made it more genuine for me..The staff were lovely and everything was cooked fresh in the kitchen fully visible from the small restaurant.

Everyone visiting Serre Chervalier should visit here. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with friendly owners. The dishes are delicious. Well balanced and flavoursome. Good value for money.On my top 10 meals of all time! The steak on the open pit fire in the restaurant was my favourite!Amazing!
