First I should explain that it's quite unusual to find anywhere open in France on a Sunday, hence the excitement in finding Le Dragon d'Or open. It's surrounded by restaurants, all of which were closed, but, it was a nice night, it had started to cool down, so perfect for sitting outside al Fresco. More to the point, despite being on a main road there was absolutely no traffic tonight, so no traffic noise. Did I mention that it was Sunday ?Terry and I had walked past the Dragon d'Or a couple of days ago. We were living in this rather nice apartment in Boulevard Thiers and were checking out the locale for places to eat. Tonight we ended up here. The food was excellent, the service was great, as was the value. What's not to like ??

It is often hard to find good sushi even in large towns in Europe, which is why Tsubaki was such a pleasant surprise. The decor in the restaurant is stark and functional, as it seems to be primarily a takeaway, but the tables are well spaced and our welcome was warm and friendly. The sushi, maki and sashimi were fresh and beautifully prepared, and the price fair. We will be returning often!

We visited on a Friday and Saturday night with four people because our restaurant did not had a restaurant. The staff was very friendly and we had a good time enjoyed all the different kind of food and drinks available.
