The food last night was consistently good. The service also good. The dining area however leaves much to be desired. Sadly the restaurant has lost its liquor license. The tables at the entry were covered in paperwork, bags and junk. There are still Christmas Decorations hanging. Worst of all.... no hand soap in the rest room. I don't know what happened? This space was always neat a clean and modern while including traditional touches. I'll be a take out customer from now on.
Where to eat Pub food in Ipswich: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Although it is small and does a significant takeout business, this was a pleasant place for a late night meal. Everything is cooked to order and they use no MSG. The menu includes Cantonese, Szechuan and Thai dishes. The portoins are generous and prices reasonable. Four of us dinned with leftoevers for $60 including tip. The soup bowls are huge, colorful and delicious, certainly a meal for more than one person to share, or plan for a doggy bag. The services was friendly and efficient.

My wife and I have been to May Flower 4 times now. Their all-you-can-eat sushi lunch and dinner special (the lunch more than the dinner, actually), but every time we've gone, the service is just terrible. We've had the same waitress 3 times and she's never nice. She sits us down and does not make us feel welcome there. She just has a bad attitude about her and it's really a shame, because we do like the food. The atmosphere could use some improving as the dining room is virtually in the bar area, so immediately you're hit with TV screens and it's hard to talk to the person you're with due to the distraction. I hate to say it, but we'll probably not eat here for a while...maybe until there are some staff changes. I will miss those chicken fingers though...mmmmmm.
