This place was recommended to us by our hotel, but we found out later that it’s a sought-after place by locals just as much as visitors.3 seating areas, the best (in our opinion) was the covered patio with the lights.Great for sharing plates large and small. The highlight for us was the fig carpaccio, one of the tastiest things we’ve had in a long time. The place fills up so reservations are suggested!

The restaurant is located a bit out of the super-busy streets of Old Jaffa, very close to the old Jaffa Port. We where lucky to be greeted by the owner, as he was friendly, without hovering too closely; helpful and nice and authentically so.We set there, in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying the breeze and original oriental decor. The food we ordered was nice and tasty and the pleasant service continued, also after the owner had left. The menu is oriental, with salads, hummus, and the like but with a reasonable (vegetable) pizza as well.So if you're looking for a combination of warm hospitality, relaxed vibe and nice food, all for a reasonable price, go to this restaurant.thank you dear hope to see you again

"Fatush" sea fish, sumac and pita.
During our ten day visit to Israel, we had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of mostly excellent restaurants. Of these, La Shuk was certainly a favourite. It is located on hip and vibrant Dizengoff Street, a lively street full of outdoor restaurants, pubs, and patios, especially in the evenings. With regards to ambiance, it is at once lively and youthful, but also with an air of elegance. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. All the dishes that our party of four ordered were simply wonderful--the epitome of beautiful Mediterranean cooking and flavours, we felt. I particularly enjoyed my shrimp dish--beautifully prepared, light, and very flavourful. As an aside, we had a lovely conversation with our excellent young waitress who gave us some interesting insights into the life of young people in Tel Aviv. We were surprised to discover how expensive Tel Aviv is, and how many of their youth work multiple jobs and/or live with parents to make ends meet. If you received excellent service as we did, good to keep this in mind when leaving a gratuity.
