It lies at an elevation of 1,675 metres (5,495 ft) above sea level in the Swiss Alps in the Val de Zinal, a valley running from the Zinal Glacier, north of Dent Blanche to the village of Ayer, part of the Val d'Anniviers. With the Dent Blanche, four additional 4,000-metre (13,120 ft) peaks are located around the valley: Bishorn, Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, and Ober Gabelhorn.

We stopped in for a few beers and had a wonderful bartender from Holland! She made great recommendations for different beers. We had just a snack of fries, the atmosphere was fun and it was great talking with others who were traveling also!

Lovely outside garden area with lots of tables. Wonderful views and a large selection of beers. Menu looked good though we only had a refreshing beer.

Around 2:00pm, we arrived at Snowboat and couldnât wait to order our lunch. First comes the Walliser Burger with 100% swiss beef, crispy beacon, onion, tomato and sauteed potatos. Very juicy and yummy! The other dish is Tortilla Chips & Trio of dips, very very delicious and we finished it so quickly. Very relaxing environment and friendly staff!
