The place seems to be aiming for a slightly upscale casual experience. You order at the bar and find you seat, tables inside and picnic tables outside. Very good tuna and crabcakes. Entertaining views of the sunset, windsurfers and people flying drones. Little expensive but a very nice experience.

Great place for lunch. Good food with fresh ingredients at a good price. Fast service from a fun staff. Large portions (if you're a light eater, share)..We look forward to our stop at Top Dog for lunch every year on our trip to Outerbanks.

We discovered the Boardwok South at the end of a little shopping center on our recent visit to the Outer Banks.The atmosphere was very pleasant, the hostess/server was excellent and the food was very good as well. We shared vegetable spring rolls (excellent) and I had the Mahi and my husband had the chicken with vegetables - both were very good meals and there was plenty of food. My fish was a bit overcooked, but still tasty and my husband was very happy with his selection. We will definitely stop here again on our next visit.
