This time I visited the third spot that Cafe opened recently - LOFT. A hidden place which pretends to be a decent restaurant with a pretentious furniture. We ordered a burger which was completely overpriced (13$) and not particularly tasty, some sandwiches that were in the end just not worth the price (10 $ - for Uzbekistan this is a LOT). The double espresso was just two times espresso and billed as 2 cups of espresso as well. I was completely disappointed and cheated. I always used to go to Cafe for a good coffee, but since there are new places in Tashkent that are cheaper and nicer, I wonât be coming here anymore.

For Tashkent this place is a little unusual with music videos, cool setting, hip wait staff and a child's play area/room to boot. The food is good, although they do run out of things, and the coffee up to western standards. The child play area is large and a great attraction if you have kids. They have enough activities to keep the kids busy. Prices are reasonable.

Our family went to Franklin's while visiting friends in Tashkent and were surprised by the selection and excellent quality of Southern, American-classics, and Tex-Mex dishes. Between our group we ordered Jambalaya, Burritos, Sliders, hand-dipped corndog, and salads. All of the dishes were very close or indistinguishable from what one would expect in America. Also the service was great. If you can't get to the U.S. but are craving American food, Franklin's is a great choice.
