A few years ago this was a really nice spot. However, over the last few years we've slowly seen this place fall behind as more and more great lunch and coffee places started to pop up. This time when we decided to give it another go, it was a true disappointment and we'll probably never go here again. The coffee was bad, we asked for cappuccino but we got a bunch of milk that had so little coffee in it that it wasn't even a latte and it was almost boiling instead of being pleasant to drink as a cappuccino is supposed to be. We ordered a three way of bread and got 3 slices of bread that were small but apparently not small enough as they were served half empty. The salmon was bad quality, lacking flavour and was being cut in a way that the skin was served and that made it impossible to eat... Chewed for ever and eventually just gave up on it. Yuck! Real bummer guys as this used to be a good spot but times changed i guess. Hi,Sorry to hear that our coffee is not to your liking but you should have spoken to our Barista regarding your preference as coffee is very subjective. Our certified barista who has been with us since Day 1 will be more than happy to assist you and will never serve "boiling" hot coffee unless requested. As in your case, we do replace the coffee ( if brought to our attention) and can brew it stronger ,bolder with more bitterness. Or perhaps you can go for dark roast commercial coffee such as Starbucks. As for the 3 way toast at Rm19.50, we believed that not only is it presentable but all ingredients are fresh. So, it was shocking to hear that it was served half empty? If so, you wouldn't be the first ever person to say so. Maybe, you would like to know that our chef and our ingredients have remain unchanged since Day 1 as well .We have alot of returning regular customers who have been supporting us for the past few years that have no issue like yours. Nevertheless, we do accept constructive criticisms and suggestions to further improve.Judging from all your TripAdvisor reviews regarding many other reputable cafes and restaurants,it seems that you are a difficult person to please or maybe.....a competitor!Cheers and have a good day!

Awesome Paleo-inspired dishes, burgers, Japanese dons (rice bowls) , artisanal coffee and cakes and more in the beautiful, serene space of Sekeping Victoria. Coffee is served from 10am onwards and our kitchen takes a break from 3 to 6pm before dinner serv
I've tried alot: Rik's, spades, burger society, flip, Johnny rockets, viva, Tom's, junk, a host of stalls... Awesome is in front. The patty here is exceptional. Soft, flavourful, well seasoned and well cooked. The bun is soft and fresh. Accessories are fresh and well balanced. Great burger. My favourite in Penang at the time of writing. The place itself is a bit weird, indoors, trees growing indoors, very concrete vibe. Might not suit a local family, but for out of towners it's a great choice.

We are located right in the heart of Georgetown. An old goldsmith turned Cafe/Restaurant/Bar serving a variety of signature dishes which will impress your tastebuds. Our breads, cakes and pastries are freshly bake in our house bakery every morning . Good
We always visit Kim Haus for dinner when we visit Georgetown, probably at least six times in the last 4 years & found good food at a good price with efficient service. This time however it was so different. The staff were very offhand & slow to take the order, they basically ignored a man who wanted to order a coffee as they were so busy chatting & they did a lot of chatting amongst themselves. At one stage, a staff member went behind the counter holding a lit cigarette! This was after smoking in restaurants has been banned! Our food finally came out, the beef burger was overcooked & very small & the veggie one was tiny. The charcoal bun had changed to a regular McD's type - full of air. Altogether, very disappointing, we'll have to find a different regular place to eat at for our future visits.
