on the way back from Philadelphia to kc stopped at econolodge next door. Chicago was good choice for dinner. they have large variety of pizza, salad bar, a couple of pasta dishes. server was friendly refill drink without asking. I had baked ziti with meatballs. meatballs were extra but they made the meal. really good. pizza looked good. nice restaurant. good value. will go there again if in the area. support local.

Lou's is the quintessential small town, Midwest diner. I grew up in Greencastle and always loved a great tenderloin sandwich. I've lived away for 38 years and, whenever I return to visit Mom, I must have a Lou's tenderloin sandwich. The BEST, hands down -- thanks, Lou's. You're my first stop for a meal when I'm back. The homemade desserts are also worth the trip, and the prices are very reasonable. The service is charming and efficient, too. Never change ...

Stopped here from being in Evansville. Had a chance to try the soup and salad bar. Good variety of foods. Menu had several choices from chicken to sandwiches. The salad bar had a southern-style bbq/fried chicken day when I arrived and I took advantage of it. Good food for a pitstop.One thing is that there were customers playing on their phone with their volumes at full blast. Can be quite disconcerting when you're trying to enjoy a meal. Would be good to regulate that rather than the patrons do so; might not end up so well and people may be sensitive when someone asks to turn down their volume.
