We visited this restaurant because it was highly rated on TA. Unfortunately we didnât think it lived up to what people said about it. Yes itâs different and yes itâs probably Eritrean but we were just disappointed. Especially the induja - spongey bread substitute that you use to eat the food. It just wasnât good. We had the mixed vegetarian and mixed meat plates. Both were ok. Anyway, compared to Dijk9 which we also visited, it just didnât compare.

After passing by this restaurant for several times, I thought it was time to pay the restaurant a visit. The hospitality of the staff is great. The food you get is plenty and is in typical Eritrean style. Including the hand washing ritual and eating with your bare hands. Pricing is very reasonable.

Kasterlee used to be a gastronomic nightmare. Only a few restaurants could convince me but the past years some really good chefs joined the region. Recently another talent opened his restaurant. The format is âfood sharingâ but in a new and fresh style. The veal was amazing and I loved the jar with smoked cheese. Actually, the only thing I didnât fancy was the giant mushrooms. Service is impeccable and efficient. The bill was much lighter than expected. Kan10 is a place Iâll visit more often next year!
